Below are answers to some frequently asked questions. Ask additional questions with the form at the bottom.
Do you teach classes?
Yes! See our Classes and Events page for what’s currently being offered.
Feed back is always available during drop in hours as well.
Individuals can also host their own classes or workshops with Private Studio Rentals outside of drop in hours. These classes and workshops will also be posted on the Calendar page.
Do you allow kids?
Absolutely! All ages are welcome at all events at Dabble.
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children 12-18 may come on their own with a signed parental release form. Ask for one when you come in.
Do you do birthday parties?
Yes. See the Parties page for details.
Will it wash out?
No. Probably not. Don’t wear nice clothes to Dabble.
Is this like a “Sip and Paint”?
No. We do not allow alcohol or serve food of any kind. You can bring in your own food but no alcohol, please. There are several great options in the neighborhood for a drink afterward.
Are there nudes?
No. Everyone keeps their clothes on for the following reasons:
- It makes Dave uncomfortable.
- All ages are welcome at all events at Dabble.
- We have really big windows.
For local nude figure drawing and painting venues, see our Resources page.
How long have you been open?
Dabble opened to the public in June 2021.
Where did you get the idea for this place?
Dave thought of the idea for Dabble many years ago from conversations with people who wished they could make art but they were letting things get in their way: schedules, jobs, lack of space, access to equipment, self-consciousness etc. Dave imagined an accessible, welcoming, well equipped place for people of all ages and skill levels to come and be creative.
